The Movement, Opportunity, Vitality and Enrichment Project (Project MOVE) facilitates our efforts to educate and nurture an interest in the arts in the greater Huntsville community through expanding access to the arts through affordable dance education and performance access to underserved youth.

One of Project MOVE’s primary goals is to ensure all families-regardless of socioeconomic status-can engage with the arts and explore their creative potential. Through community partnerships and grant funding, we are closing the opportunity gap and building a more vibrant, equitable cultural landscape.

In partnership with the City of Huntsville, we offer accessible enrichment classes at local recreation centers. Collaborations with daycare centers, Village of Promise, and Lincoln Village Ministry allow us to reach children at formative stage sand introduce them to the benefits of arts education.

We eliminate financial barriers by providing tuition scholarships for classes and dance camps at V Dance Academy. Families simply complete an application process and commit to a full-year program for sponsorship opportunities.

Dance Élàn also hosts two family-friendly dance productions annually at accessible venues across Huntsville. this creates opportunities for students to perform and for families to engage in the arts together.

Project MOVE is anticipated to serve over 500 children and families in North Alabama in 2026 through classes, sponsorships, and performances. More than teaching technique, we are cultivating creativity, discipline, self-confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
